Two Shall Become One
Consider the mystery of Ephesians 2:15-16 making of Jew and Gentile “one new man” with Ephesians 5:32 “great mystery” of “Two Shall Become One”

For months I have heard Christian prophets giving me wonderfully encouraging words that built me up in the midst of relentless warfare that has been beating me down.
My mind was set to endure all things for the sake of what God has given me to do, but at times the mental exhaustion of it has had me really worn out. I have struggled to overcome the realization that my mailings on behalf of Israeli believer ministries has just about been wiped out. But I have had no real way to assess just how wiped out the lists actually are.
I just knew I had to find an alternative way to keep moving in advocacy for the body of Messiah in Israel.
Of course this was not the entirety of the battles I’ve faced. The beat down was happening on many fronts.
But back to the encouraging words of the Christian prophets. I haven’t paid any attention to Christian prophets for years – a decade and a half probably because I was so put off with the ZERO understanding most have for Israel’s place in God’s full vision for us. I only started listening to Christian prophets again after the attack on IHOPKC/Mike Bickle shut down the leading Christian prophet (of the slim to almost none) who ever considered Israel and how God cherished the Jews and His intent to restore Israel.
It flabbergasts me still that there is so much God has revealed in His Word about that, and in the biblical prophecies that have unfolded in our natural eyes in the past century. How could a prophet miss such things?
Even though I am listening to Christian prophets again, I still cannot say that most of have even an inkling of how important Israel is to God and to us as Christians. But I have returned to listening to them because I needed what they bring to the table: the encouragement to keep pressing through the battle because God has a purpose for me still. Both Saved Israel and the Church bring unique gifts to the table, like a man and a woman are to bring unique gifts to a marriage. One does not need to be a replica other the other – God is unifying complimentary partners.
Now here is the thing I really wanted to write about: for months almost all of the Christian prophets have been saying the same thing over and over:
To quit trying to open doors that God closed for your sake in the next season, so you can be readied for the doors that God is going to open for you to fulfill His purpose for you.
Every time I have heard that message, I have laid it to the side because WHAT I WAS HEARING was quit trying to re-open doors of relationships that have closed down to you in the Israeli Messianic community, and to focus yourself ONLY on what the Christian prophets are speaking of.
That’s how I heard it – to forget Messianic Israel and return to the visions of Christian prophetic. I couldn’t accept that and still can’t.
One thing I know to be true, the spiritual revelation I have been given since 1983 is overwhelmingly regarding God’s plans for making Christians and Messianic Israel into one new man. God did not invest that much revelation of His will on that matter to me for me to turn away and look for a path that had less resistance.
Honestly at times Christian prophetic and preaching has felt to me like too much navel gazing…but I have come to the place that I needed answers for the personal, to keep pressing with the knowledge of what God is going to do for unifying the Church and saved Israel.
Maybe the Christian prophets were not even meaning how I heard them, maybe it is just a matter of when individuals shut the door on long standing relationships, you shouldn’t keep banging on their door to try to set things right. This even flies in the face of my strongest beliefs about the unity of Christians and Messianic Israel, which makes it hard to accept. But we can’t always get others to hear our hearts when they have already made up their minds otherwise.
So doors that open to me now I will go through carrying the message of what God wants for us to become: committed to each other LIKE the vows we used to take in marriages:
“Will you love her, honor her, comfort and keep her, in sickness and in health; and, forsaking all others, be faithful to her as long as you both shall live?”
There is a price that is paid in keeping such a commitment. It is what God wants IN UNITING His family of both Christians and Jews in the faith of Messiah … before the return of the Lord.
