Christian Support Falls Short

Sadly, most of the famous Christian spiritual leaders who are known for fervent support Israel, don’t give the Israeli Messianic body of Messiah the time of day.

They don’t know any of the leaders of the 200+ congregations of Israelis in the faith of Yeshua (Jesus) and it is more convenient for them to stay away from the Israeli Messianic community. The unsaved Israelis they want to have influence with absolutely will not tolerate it if these famous Christian leaders come out in support of the Israeli Jews who proclaim the salvation in Jesus, whom they call by His Hebrew name Yeshua.

A couple of people came on my radar in recent days who have strong ties in Israel with authorities, but zero contact with the Israeli 5-fold ministries in Israel.

That’s right: there are apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers who are Israeli Jews ministering to the people of Israel. I’m not going to put these Christians down by mentioning their names, but all across the field of famous Christians who support Israel, MANY times over 3 decades Messianic Jews have approached them to open up to the Israeli Messianic community and they have rebuffed every approach.

It is difficult for ANY Messianic Jew to go to any major Christian figure to speak up about the issues of backing the very ones in Israel who bring persecution to the believers. The Christians are clueless to the facts with no incentive to know the truth, and the Messianic is subject to backlash.

I’ve seen and heard about these attempts to get through to even some of the most beloved and influential Christian leaders over and over for the last three decades. It is just not allowed. Even the beloved, now deceased Pat Robertson and Pastor Jack Hayford both endorsed the IFCJ. Rabbi Eckstein even used Jack Hayford in television promotions! This is widespread Christian endorsement of an organization that is hostile to Jews coming to faith in Jesus and favorable to the religious activists who search out Jewish believers to get them excluded from Israeli citizenship.

Israeli Messianic Jews have won the respect of so many Israelis for being exemplary citizens and deep lovers of the nation of Israel. They don’t expect special favors, they are in the same fight for Israel’s existence as most of the nations citizens. They do humanitarian outreach in their communities. They encourage Christian support of Israel because God loves Israel.

Many in the Israeli government and military service hold a high view of the Messianic Jewish community. Why then do Christian leaders flock to support organizations that are hostile to Israel’s Messianic Community, and why do the Christian leaders refuse to hear the truth about who they are supporting?

If you want to know who some of those Christians are you can visit the IFCJ Stand with Israel endorsement page (https://www.ifcj.org/who-we-are/endorsements). Those listed barely scratch the surface when it comes to Christian pastors who do so.

It is going to REQUIRE that Christians take the lead on telling the truth about these things. The Israeli Messianic community is in no position to do that. It will only bring persecution and law suits on their heads. The only position they have is as silent lambs

The major problems with the denial of Jewish believers citizenship is the most difficult. It is systemic in the bureaucracy of the Interior Ministry which acts as a gatekeeper of who may be a citizens of Israel. This religious opposition operates against Messianic believers regardless of whether the religious Shas party is at the head of the Interior ministry or not.

But all those things are not my point.

My point is that because the most famous of Christian Israel supporters AVOID relationship with their spiritual family in Israel, most Christians have no idea that there even is an Israeli Messianic Jewish remnant in Israel (estimated at up to 20,000). And since they don’t, they are not participating in WHAT JESUS IS DOING in Israel through the Jewish believers.

I find that infuriating and embarrassing at the same time.

I realize you as a Christian leader might not want to take the time out to get to know any of the Israeli Messianic ministry leaders. You wouldn’t know where to start. That is the reason I have been doing the Israel Prayer Summaries for the past 25 years, so you could figure it out.

If you all just keep grabbing some famous Christian Israel supporter to fill you in, or an unsaved rabbi, you are going to miss the boat entirely. If you don’t know any believer ministry leaders of Israel, pardon the expression, but you don’t know jack about Israel today.

Most of the crowd attending the event are Israeli ministry leaders and believers, along with international intercessors. It was May 28, 2023 at the end of a 21-day worldwide prayer event called by Mike Bickle at IHOPKC that raised prayers from 5 million worldwide.

The core focus of the 21-days of fasting and prayer was for participants to pray for God’s plans and SALVATION PROMISES for Israel and Jerusalem.

Frankly, Bickle called the 21-day fasting and prayer KNOWING that most of the intercessors activated for the final main event praying in Jerusalem for the region, did not have a clue about how God is moving to do in the spiritual restoration of Israel. It is because He is moving through the Remnant of faith of Israeli Messianic believers.

Bickle was absolutely correct: Most Christians do not believe they are to play ANY part in Israel.

Without a specific understanding of the biblical prophetic scriptures of how Jesus is going to rebuild the house of the LORD in Israel, Christians have no idea that means Israeli Jews coming to faith. They are coming to faith now, and even more would come to faith if Christians ever latched hold of the truth that God wants Christians to assist the Israeli body of Messiah to fulfill their calling in the Land.
