Appointed to Wrath?

I see Christians defending their belief in the Pre-Tribulation Rapture of Christians leaving Israel to go through it alone, based on the 1 Th 5:9 verse: “For God has not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ.”

For one thing, the Tribulation and God’s wrath are two separate things. The Tribulation will be extremely difficult for those whose peace does not spring from salvation in Yeshua; God’s wrath will be unbearable for the workers of iniquity and unbelief.

John 16:33 Jesus says, “In the world you shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.”

and in Act 14:22 Paul and Barnabas were exhorting their Christian converts:

“Confirming the souls of the disciples, and exhorting them to continue in the faith, and that we must through much tribulation enter into the kingdom of God.”

To whom do God’s Promises to Israel belong today?

When we see the prophecies of the Hebrew scripture and decide that even though they were spoken to Israel that they no longer apply to Israel, but now apply only to Christians, this is a major mind trap set by the enemy. It has and will continue to cause millions of Christians to be UNABLE to see or accept all the scriptures of God’s continuing promises to Israel. Believing that to be true – despite a lack of scriptural evidence makes it IMPOSSIBLE to see the truth as it is written.

Appointed to Wrath continues

A case in point is found in Isaiah 51 & 52 where God clarifies who He is addressing from the get-go. There is no way to isolate Isaiah 51:22-52:2 as a word to Christians to rise up as overcomers in their faith. This CANNOT be used as a prophetic exhortation from God for Christians to overcome. We are to overcome, but this is not the scripture to cite because it is wholly, and singly addressed to Israel.

The whole chapter is speaking to Israel – beaten up and downtrodden in the exile often at the hands of Christians who mistake God’s intentions to restore Israel. When God through Isaiah says in 51:19 to Israel, “These pairs have befallen you: devastation and destruction, famine and sword” that is exactly what Jews have experienced all over the world. It came through from pogroms in nation to nation of the Jews.

Let me define what a progrom actually is: “an organized, violent riot or massacre directed against a specific minority group-historically and most commonly Jewish people – often with the tacit approval, passive allowance, or active encouragement of local authorities or governments.”

That is exactly what is going on within the United States, Europe and the UK. It is fed led by so-called Christian jackals like Tucker and Candance, in triangulation with Islamists operating in the Western nations. In every age a demonic hatred against the Jews in individual nations has risen, now as the end of the age is closing in, the conquering rise of Islam is a worldwide demonic engine to spread hatred of the Jewish people.

Christians who don’t know their God are more than willing to join the action, or at least be passive observers of the evil unfolding before our eyes. This is in direct defiance of what God continues to promises to Israel in Isaiah 51: 21

Therefore now hear this, you afflicted one, drunken, but not with wine. Thus says your Lord, the LORD, even your God, who defends His people: “See, I have removed from your hand the cup of staggering. From that goblet, the cup of My fury, you will never drink again.

I will place it in the hands of your tormentors, who told you: ‘Lie down, so we can walk over you,’ so that you made your back like the ground, like a street to be traversed.”

Applying this to a strictly Christian application does not work. But it works in spades on the Jewish experience for the past 2,000 years of TORMENTORS who called themselves Christians, but did not know of what Spirit they were.

Israel could not pick themselves up in their own power to resist being walked on as if their backs where just a street that others could use to traverse. God had to change the circumstances because no one can lift themselves up without God giving them the ability to do so. The circumstance that changed is the State of Israel. We see the Jewish people lifting themselves up ONLY after God orchestrated through many individuals – Christians and Jews-to restore the Jewish State in the exact location of the Promised Land.

It was promised as an eternal inheritance and God fulfilled that so the dry bones could live – could begin to rise up and then with the help of Christian prayers and support, could begin to receive the breath of spiritual life in the spiritually dead men walking.

The Bible, which does not have chapter breaks like we have to organize it, goes on in chapter 52: 1-3 to say:

“Awake, awake, clothe yourself with strength, O Zion! Put on your garments of splendor, O Jerusalem, holy city! For the uncircumcised and unclean will no longer enter you.

Shake off your dust! Rise up and sit on your throne, O Jerusalem. Remove the chains from your neck, O captive Daughter of Zion. For this is what the LORD says: “You were sold for nothing, and without money you will be redeemed.”

In these days, Christians must be able to see God’s promises to Israel are fully intact. If this blinder remains on Christians, it will factor in on being appointed to wrath. If we don’t get this, we don’t get God.
