Prayer for the SOLDIERS DEFENDING ISRAEL
“The War has resumed” Israel to Call up Reserves

Arrows from Zion Summary of Prayer Points for Israeli Ministries
Prayer Requests & the Chronicles of the Remnant of Faith in Israel
July 9: My intention this week was to feature the ministries who are providing places for the soldiers to come to heal from the things they have seen and experienced in combat. Wars always take a psychological toll on people, including soldiers — even soldiers of faith. With Trump’s recognition that a “deal” was impossible with Iran, combat is back on the table for Israel’s Reservists (Sav Shemoney) both family men and unmarried women, according to Miriam Abramov at Awake Israel. She also writes that the Israel is “short on army personnel and the religious refuse to serve.”
I have to note two things about that, first ‘Idle minds and hands are the devil’s workshop.’ My second comment is related: I have begun to see Israel news media articles popping up about various religious attacks against the Israeli Messianic community.
The Israeli Messianic community have always downplayed mentioning of the religious opposition coming against them. Primarily it is because they don’t want their followers (or others) to HATE the people they desire to see come to faith in Yeshua. Whether they speak of the incidents happening to them or not, the religious brag on their own media of the ways they attack Messianic believers. I want NO ONE to hate the religious in Israel, but the persecution of the saved Israelis will continue to increase to the end and I will not be one to keep silent about the incidents that I discover taking place.
The Apostle Paul was a religious persecutor of the earliest believers, Jews. In our day, many more traditionally religious Jews will come to faith and this is our challenge: To represent Yeshua to Jews who spit on His name, so they are not further hardened by our misrepresenting God’s love for the Jews. Hate the sin, love the sinner is always the challenge in every part of our interactions with fellow humanity.

An example of what I am talking about is in this reel on Facebook and Instagram from Ariel Blumenthal at Tikkun Global. He is reporting how their ministry was targeted about a week ago in a building full of other occupants with a malicious sabotage of their specific air conditioning units to the tune of thousands of shekels in repairs and replacement costs. They will increase the security before making any moves toward replacing the AC. Donations to cover the unexpected costs would help.

Chaim Malespin of Aliyah Return Center & Faithful Galileans will be one of the family men serving in the Reserves, as he has from the beginning, in a tank unit. We have truly appreciated Chaim’s daily video reports even as he has served in combat. He has shown an extraordinary courage, internal peace and composure for all he has been involved with since the Oct 7 attack on Israel sent the nation into war. He has given us a front row seat to witness it in his video reports. May all of our believer Messianic soldiers find the peace of Yeshua within their hearts, head, body and spirit as they serve to the defense of their people and nation.
WATCH July 3rd 1000 days of war in Israel Chaim writes, “As we mark 1000 days to the October 7 massacre, Aliyah continues! More than 60,000 Jewish people have made Aliyah to Israel since October 2023. That’s our victory. Since that morning, life has changed drastically for us in Israel. . . .I have been deployed since the beginning. I have been in the terror tunnels of Gaza and in Lebanon, confronting firsthand the reality of our enemies’ schemes to destroy us. The majority of what I have been doing in these past 1,000 days has been dismantling the infrastructure of destruction that Hamas and Hezbollah spent billions of dollars to build. They did not improvise October 7th. They planned it for years, maybe decades. They invested everything into their plot to destroy Israel. . . .And yet, despite the rockets, the grief, and the uncertainties of these 1,000 days, more than 60,000 Jewish people have made Aliyah to Israel since October 2023. . . .
Aliyah is not just immigration, it is prophetic fulfillment. [Isaiah 43:5-6] . . . .We are living in unprecedented times. Together with your help we can help establish the return of the Jewish people back in their promised homeland! Give Today

Reuven Doron of OneNewManToday continues to put out high quality analysis and prophetic insight, to benefit from it Subscribe to his email updates. In The Great Return he speaks of Jeremiah’s prophecies that “Israel’s final gathering into the Land will far eclipse the Exodus out of Egypt.” That is happening now. Reuven wrties, “This summer alone, Israel is expecting the arrival of 6,000 new immigrants, most of them arriving from Islamazised western nations.” God knows how to get the Jewish people back to their own land. Also from Donna’s perspective the Islamization Western nations is a correction from God on our Western nations for forsaking their Christian faith, and allowing Israel to be continuously attacked by Islamist nations, as if they should just take it.

Ruby Bishai for Fields of Wheat writes, “Behind every uniform is a person. . . .a few soldiers reached out to me with a simple but heavy request. They were looking for a place where Messianic soldiers could come together. A safe space. A place where they could sit with others who understood the strange tension of their lives: serving in uniform, carrying responsibility, seeing things that are hard to explain, and still trying to follow Yeshua with a soft heart. . . . when a real need stands in front of you, sometimes the calling is simply to say yes.
. . . .Once a month, on Friday morning, soldiers come in from different places and different units. Some arrive tired. Some arrive quiet. Some come straight from a long week in uniform. Some have just returned from reserve duty. Some do not say much at first. And we do our best to make the room feel safe enough for them to slowly put down what they have been carrying. And yes, we make sure they eat well. . . .A meal that says, “You are seen. You are cared for. You are not forgotten.”
“…Over time, this group has become something I did not fully know how to imagine when we began. It has become a place of fellowship. A place where soldiers can breathe for a moment. A place where they can be with others who understand not only the military reality, but also the unique reality of being believers in that environment. . . .Today, as I write this, we are preparing for another soldiers’ meeting. This time, our group is joining together with another soldier’s group from Tel Aviv. Seeing how much this has grown over the past year and a half caused me to stop and reflect. I wanted to take this opportunity to introduce you to this part of the ministry, because it has become one of the most meaningful things I get to be part of.
“. . . .As Fields of Wheat, we can look back over the past 1,000 days and say with humility and gratitude that we have been serving our people and the nation of Israel throughout this war. From the beginning, we have tried to stand where the need was. With soldiers. With youth. With families. With believers who are trying to follow Yeshua faithfully in the middle of a very painful and complicated reality. It is a privilege to do this.
“In many ways, this soldiers’ group and our youth camps are two sides of the same calling. In just about a month, we will hold our summer Katzir camp. Around 100 teenagers will come, many of them hungry for a meaningful encounter with the Lord. We will worship with them, teach them, disciple them, and create space for them to meet God in a real way. And some of those same teenagers, after they finish 12th grade, will put on a uniform and be sent into military service. . . .And because of you, we are able to remind them that they are not forgotten either.” Your prayers and donations give us the ability to provide these things.” To help, donate to Fields of Wheat here.

Dugit Ministries’ Avi Mizrachi has a powerful message about “what happens when a donkey sees the Angel of the Lord – but a prophet does not? In Numbers 22, God uses an unexpected voice to expose deception, reveal a reckless path, and remind us that His promises over Israel cannot be cursed or overturned. In this powerful message, Pastor Avi connects the story of Balaam to the times we are living in today – and calls us to wake up, repent, and remember that God’s covenant promises are irrevocable. Ronit Bender in northern Israel has many things to report, but I have chosen this IMPORTANT ALERT: “I do not know if you hear this in the nations, but the Iranian regime tries to recruit Israelis to spy for them. Young people fall prey to these very attractive offers. I am certainly not young, but received such an offer: $300,000 USD! It was three emails altogether, the first two describing how this person, a Swiss medical doctor who loves the Lord, would love to donate this sum in Israel and needs my help to distribute it. The third email told about his wife who was murdered by the regime in Iran for protecting girls’ rights. It said that his daughter also died. A very moving story. The fact that they used the gospel to try to convince me is very alarming.
I spoke to my former pastor Yonatan, and he confirmed what I suspected all along. I blocked any future emails, and sent the emails to the leadership of Kehilat HaCarmel. It should be a warning to all. The Iranians offer huge amounts, and as people are in need of money, they fall in these traps. Please pray for the protection of our nation, and FOR ME PERSONALLY. To contact Ronit, or to donate to her needs as she does personal evangelism.
Sally Shiff writes of her US tour just winding down, “I was a “Circuit Flyer” travelling to 14 states in 6 weeks. My message was almost the same (Special Guest Speaker From Israel- Sally Shiff), yet with specifics in each of the churches that God wanted me to highlight for that church. Along the way, and with the many conversations with old and new friends, I came away with hope as well as renewed passion with greater understanding of how to pray for you and the church of America. I strongly believe that the Church needs to be like the sons of Issachar who understand the signs of the times and pray according to God’s direction. To NOT BE bystanders compromising and bending to “popular” ideas of antisemitism/pro-Palestinian lies, or sexual pervasions that are against the truth of God. I have audacious hope for the church of America! Sally is an intercessor at HaMayaan congregation and to subscribe to her informative and enlightening reports email her.
Marianna Goll sends a catchup report for her Streams in the Desert ministry to widows & orphans: “We have had challenging but fruitful months. One of the most exciting things in the last season was an event organized by a partner organization in the Negev. We served together with them to host a day of games and activities for 170 Bedouin kids. Activities like this are not only about bringing joy into the lives of those kids. They are about breaking down the walls of division and changing attitudes between the Jewish and Arab communities. We felt so privileged.
We are getting ready for our annual summer camp. This will be our 18th year! In Hebrew thought the number “18” symbolizes “Life”. We pray that this camp will be life-giving for the kids, the team, and all the volunteers. Please pray for the organization, the logistics, and for any financial deficit to be covered. Howard Bass of Yeshua’s Inheritance in Beer Sheva writes, “The name of our new grandson born to Evan and Joyanna is Amiel Haim Bass. Ah-mee-el has a number of various possible meanings, with Ami meaning “my people”; and El meaning God. Haim is my Hebrew name, meaning “life”, and is also Evan’s middle name. Amiel’s circumcision was on June 28, and is also a sign of the covenant — YHVH’s covenant with Abraham, and his descendants, and especially through Isaac and Jacob to the physical descendants of the House of Jacob, or, in today’s parlance, the Jewish people. This is not the circumcision binding to the Sinai covenant, but is a sign, even for Jewish boys, that we are still Jews in the flesh. By this we confirm that the New Covenant faith in Yeshua/Jesus as the Messiah and Son of God does not nullify God’s promises to His chosen people, which are obtained through repentance and faith in the gospel. The way to be saved was first given and shown to the Jews, through whom it was proclaimed to the Gentiles; and the way to be saved has not changed for either Jewish people or for any non-Jewish person!
In congregational news: they are meeting in the July-August months at 3:30pm instead of 5:30pm to help out the families with children fit in all the Shabbat evening activities. They’ve had another Bedouin baptized in Med Sea and two baby dedications. Summer camps are on across the country and many congregational families events from the ladies’ mtg to the couples’ evening congregational annual trip. Asking continued prayers for the Jewish people and Israel – see Psalm 2:10-12 as a prayer basis: “Now therefore, be wise, O kings; be instructed, you judges of the Earth. Serve YHVH with fear, and rejoice with trembling. Kiss the Son, lest He be angry, and you perish in the way, when His wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all those who put their trust in Him!”

Out of Zion Ministries, David and Josie Silver also feature the writings of son Stefan and daughter in law Keren who are also pastors at the HaCarmel daughter congregation, Kerem-El, God’s Vineyard. 6/27 Keren penned this exceptional article Restricted by What Remains, writing “A.W. Tozer wrote: “True obedience is the refusal to compromise in any regard our relationship with God, regardless of the consequences.” Keren: “Our lives are full of invitations to compromise – to dilute our principles, our way of life, our thoughts, attitudes, and ultimately our actions. As a mother, I look anxiously at the world my daughters are growing up in, and I constantly pray that God will help them guard themselves from compromising the truth, their walk with Him, and their relationship with Him. I pray that I will succeed in guiding them in the right way – the way of truth and life.”

From the big family ‘tribe’ of Richard and Carolyn Hyde, Heart of G-d, Carolyn writes about Proverbs 22:6, “Train up a child.” She wrote, “When our sons and their wives needed a day to fast and pray, Richard and I were asked to babysit. This is a bigger ask than one would think because there were only 2 of us compared to 11 of them. They had more than a 5 to 1 advantage! Instead of camping them in front of the TV and enduring the inevitable verbal fights that would ensue, the L-rd gave us a different strategy. We decided to invest in the hearts of these little Israelis! I felt we should read Genesis 15 and then draw, color and cut out the animals in Gen 15:9. After cutting the cows, rams & sheep in half, we placed them on homemade altars, explaining how contracts worked in ancient Israel. Two parties would then walk in a figure 8 between the sacrifices, agreeing that if one broke the contract, they’d become like the animals on the altar. When G-d gave Avram and his seed the Land, He put Avram into a deep sleep and cut the covenant with Himself! Sometimes we wonder if the kids are paying attention so we were greatly encouraged to receive a call the next day when some wanted to clarify the message. What a privilege to bring the true stories from the Bible to life through fun but relevant conversations!
During the recent Prophetic Arts Journey at Ein Bokek, we called into existence open eyes and right decisions for multitudes in the Valley of Decision regarding the LGBT event in July. Shortly afterwards, the Shin Beit canceled the event, claiming that the government can’t sponsor it as the money is needed elsewhere. The enemy tried to defile the Land where we took communion and worshipped Adonai and He graciously answered our prayers – Hallelujah!

Aleksey Raikstadt of the old city Jaffa Beit Immanuel congregation writes, “These past months have carried real weight. War has a way of settling into daily life in ways you don’t always notice at first. It affects conversations, plans, sleep, and even how we pray. And yet, in the middle of it all, we have not been without the constant kindness of God. I find myself more aware of His presence in the small things.” | Congregational: Read online – A Calling to Lead and Serve | A Season of Harvest: Baptisms and New Beginnings | Pray for their children at summer camp I Latvia, for those serving in the congregation. Youval and Valerie Yanay at Revive Israel ask for prayers over the youth Camp Connexion underway in France. They have taken 28 young people from different backgrounds to the annual camp with French young people to encounter God together.
Leon Mazin of the Haifa Return to Zion congregation sends a message of encouragement from Israel: This Hanukkah will mark 25 years since I became a pastor. Over these two decades, I have experienced powerful moments of anointing, but also times of disappointment, betrayal, and immense joy. This is a process we all go through. As a pastor, I have watched many believers navigate these same waves.
Apostle Paul reminds us that the purpose of this journey is to grow into maturity in Messiah. James echoes this when he urges us to face trials with joy. Interestingly, in Hebrew, the words for trial and temptation share the exact same root as the word for experience—Nisayon (ניסיון). Simply put, life is not a picnic; it is a Nisayon—a collective experience we bring before God. What matters most is approaching Him with reverence and gratitude. When we do, everything we have walked through works together for our good. May the Lord strengthen us all.
Prayer Requests: Youth Ministry & “Nesher” Project: Our youth are currently in an important season of discipleship. A group of 24 young people (ages 15–18) is preparing for a trip to Norway….we are praying for a profound, high-quality time of spiritual growth for them.| Humanitarian Projects: We are currently restructuring our Congregation outreach initiatives. The Haifa Municipality has recently reached out to us requesting our assistance. Please pray for wisdom and open doors as we navigate this collaboration.| Congregational Families: Several families within our Congregation are walking through exceptionally difficult seasons. Counseling has been completed, and we are now lifting them up in prayer, asking for divine strength, guidance, and heavenly breakthroughs.

Daniel and Shirya Yahav of the Penial Fellowship in Tiberias send a word encouraging that we “do not grow weary” _ Shirya writes, “It is on my heart to encourage you not to grow weary in the lifelong journey on the narrow path that leads us to eternal life. As can be seen from these two verses, the danger of growing tired is real and we are encouraged not to lose heart, growing weary, and God forbid, falling away. Paul writes in 2 Tim. 3:16 that all scriptures, (note that they had only the Old Testament), is a source of help and instruction for us, to become effective and ready to accomplish what God has called us to do (Eph. 2:10). So, let us learn from the experience of the nation of Israel, during their journey to the Promised Land. And let us be reminded that it is a picture of our journey as the children of God. The bible tells us that those who became weary on the way, became prey to Amalek who killed them. It also tells us what lead to their weariness. We want to see what is the remedy, so we do not fall into the same place.
On our war situation. As you know, we are supposed to have a cease fire, but in fact, Hamas, Hezbollah, Palestinian authority in Judea and Samaria and the Syrian front are not quiet nor peaceful. We do not have rockets coming in from Iran, so the civilian’s daily life is back to normal, but many are still serving in prolonged reserve duties, fathers, sons and daughters, and that is affecting their family life, their work life, studies etc. All our soldiers are facing a continued life danger, in all fronts. In the Judea and Samaria area, Israeli forces have found hundreds of weapons since the beginning of 2026, and forty lathes of producing weapons. Not to mention Hamas and Hezbollah who are not respecting the ceasefire, nor dismantling their infrastructure as required by the agreement, the opposite is true. They are continuously trying to recuperate their infrastructures and capabilities and attacking the Israeli forces.
Sadly, Hezbollah in Lebanon have succeeded in causing a number of painful casualties through drone attacks against our soldiers. Lately the Israeli forces found several enormous underground tunnels in Southern Lebanon, carved into the rocky mountain terrain, which according to our defense minister, were not seen anywhere else. These tunnel complexes are designed to store precision missiles and heavy rockets. The tunnels are wide and well-lit, allowing free movement of trucks and motorcycles underground. According to their own publications, the complexes include platforms and removable launch hatches that allow missiles to be launched directly from under the ground without exposing the launchers. The complexes also include supporting infrastructure such as ventilation systems, electricity, control rooms, kitchens and field hospitals that allow for the presence of hundreds of Terrorists for prolonged periods, and makes it easy for these terrorists to come out right on our border and attack Israeli communities just as Hamas did on 7th Oct 2023.
In light of this, Israel cannot afford to draw its forces out of Lebanon before the job of dismantling this satanic organization will be finished. Interestingly, just few days ago Israel and the government of Lebanon signed an agreement that is supposed to ensure the dismantling of Hezbollah organization before Israel will withdraw its forces. Hezbollah as expected reacted with riots in Lebanon. That is a good agreement. The people of Lebanon are sick and tired of this terror organization causing them only devastation. We can pray for the people of Lebanon, of Gaza and the people of Iran, to be freed from rule of these terrorists. Thank you for your prayers and for partnering with us.
